As an ordained interfaith minister for several years, Rev. Sheeran has conducted weddings, vow renewals, and commitment ceremonies for individuals from all spiritual traditions. She finds great joy and satisfaction in joining two lives together. Her unique blend of spiritual and academic studies has provided her with the skills to counsel as well as to write creatively, especially writing beautiful wedding ceremonies.
Rev. Sheeran was director of a church layminister team for over five years, counseling with those who needed personal care in times of happiness, grief, or need, and still serves as a prayer chaplain in the church she attends. Also, she holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in English from the University of Texas at Arlington, is a published author of newspaper and magazine articles, and is a lifelong educator. She was a department chair and a professor of English at a Fort Worth college for more than seven years until her retirement in 2009, but she continues to teach at the college level on a part time basis because she enjoys working with adult students. Her first love, however, is joining two individuals as a couple, who then become a family.
Rev. Sheeran resides in Fort Worth, Texas, but will travel for weddings which may be over 30 miles outside the Fort Worth metroplex area. There may an additional fee, however, for travel expenses.
